About Us
Grange Manor was built in the late 19th century for the agent to the Earl of Zetland’s local estates. The Earl worked as a Scottish MP sitting in the House of Commons until he was given the title of peerage in 1820.
While he was rarely seen in his own home found opposite Grange Manor, until it was demolished some time ago, the Earl was known to be aggrieved at how much money the agent was spending on works to Grange Manor.
With additions including intricate cornices and elegant wooden staircases still part of the hotel’s period features to this day, you can enjoy observing the agent’s work when staying in our hotel.
A distinctly country house feel with surrounding gardens makes for a pleasant base for exploring Central Scotland, after which you can return to fantastic food and drink in Cook’s Bar & Kitchen and a comfortable night’s sleep in our rooms.
